Frequently Asked Questions
A Call from a boy, yesterday:
“She said don’t call me again, I don’t love you… we had been in love for about 3yrs now… she is in love with some other guy. If she does not marry me, I would not marry any one else… if she does not love me has she been just fooling me for so long...?”
Some other similar questions: Is my love true? How can I know whether he/she really loves me?
Is it possible to determine if he would continue to love me and would not ditch me in the future…? He asks me to have sex to prove our love….. (We are covering it more detailed in our next issue)
How is love & Valentine’s Day associated to one another?
Love knows no time, people & place bounds – it lasts as long as the breath lasts. “Love is long suffering, kind, all bearing, enduring, and truth loving; without envy, self pride & evil;
& love never fails...” (Bible)
Hi Friends!
Our warm love & prayers are offered for you!
We are not sure how your day had been, yet we would like to invite you to reflect upon it!!
As we are into the youth & family counseling & teaching, we could write tons on it and also because LOVE is a vast subject.
Yet in this issue we would like to leave you just with a small measuring device to know how real your “love” is/has been. Though the love is in the air yet most of the cases we deal are unfortunately sad and tragic when it comes to love!
It is very difficult to say how closely the so called “Valentine’s Day” is associated to love & such celebration. All the stories behind are so murky/ dark and unclear so is hard to say much FOR it. They are all called “tales” not historical facts…
We would love to see that each day of your life becomes a celebration of “true love”. Not just confined to a day or limited period! Want it for one day or each day of your life - decision is completely yours. Though we would like to highlight few reasons behind the same in this issue:
“….Later, during the Middle Ages, it was commonly believed in France and England that February 14 was the beginning of birds' mating season, which added to the idea that the middle of February -- Valentine's Day -- should be a day for romance….” {The History Channel (History.com)}
“…The popular customs associated with Saint Valentine's Day undoubtedly had their origin in a conventional belief generally received in England and France during the Middle Ages, that on 14 February, i.e. half way through the second month of the year, the birds began to pair. Thus in Chaucer's Parliament of Foules we read:
For this was sent on Seynt Valentyne's day Whan every foul cometh there to choose his mate.
For this reason the day was looked upon as specially consecrated to lovers and as a proper occasion for writing love letters and sending lovers' tokens...” (The Catholic Encyclopedia, Volume XV.)
Now basing it upon the above reasons what do you think, should this celebration be for married couples or for the unmarried too? Should love be for a season or till breath….? To us it sounds just physical & sensual (sexual) nothing of caring love…..! Temporal as long as the gratification/ self satisfaction is achieved! We don’t argue… the views might differ… anyway…. Just go through a small test below….
Love and Lust (untrue love) Test
No. Love Lust (untrue love 1. Is Care & Concern, 1 Peter 5:7; Understanding: God does understand us!
